Once you start a conversation online, how quickly should you reply back? Do you reply instantly or play it cool and give it a day or too? After all, you don’t want to be too keen….do you?
My advice is never wait too long to write back. They could have 50 other singles contacting them and they’ll lose the flow or forget who you are. Leave it 5 or 10 minutes, enough to show you are busy. Let her know you are really busy ( be vague about details) but make her think you are making time for her specially because you are interested.
I also suggest that you ask for the phone number on the third email. Just write one line or two to answer any urgent questions then say this:
“I’m pretty busy at the moment and this is a slow way to get to know someone! What’s your number?”
You need to get them on the phone for about 5 mins – just to suss them out and arrange a date there and then.
